Nicholas Sensley serves as the Interim Chief Strategy Officer of AFRJ. He is the CEO of Cross Sector Solutions, LLC. Cross Sector Solutions, LLC is a consortium of strategists throughout the world who convene, facilitate, and support local, regional, and national coalitions of leaders in response to significant problems. Nicholas has served as the Anti-Trafficking Strategist and Development Consultant for Humanity United, an Omidyar Group philanthropic foundation, and is a former California Police Chief with 25 years of diverse policing services among three California municipalities. He has developed leaders and facilitated strategic collective impact teams and task forces in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, the South Caribbean and throughout United States.
Nicholas has been acknowledged as an international expert at developing responses to human atrocities by the US Department of State, the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Department of Justice, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, and by other international governments and organizations.
Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and a Masters of Business Administration. He is currently a PhD student in international management at the International School of Management (ISM) in Paris, France with a dissertation on the impact of civil society and businesses in post war and civil conflict recovery and transitions. Nicholas is based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
